Limbaugh Taken In: The Judge Was Not Loaded for Bear
This is a hoot. And an interesting case for a future class on the risk/benefit of a Wiki. It's also a cautionary tale on not checking sources in any old or new medium.
This is definitely funny. Nothing like editing a Wiki page you are not entitled to editing. Although most Wikipedia pages are incredibly accurate, I guess this just shows the caution that needs to be taken when using Wikipedia. It also shows how a piece of information like this can spread so rapidly. The article says the information was posted Sunday night and removed on Tuesday. Crazy.
Te article for me says loads about workplace laziness (one of Rush's hacks got fired for embarrassing the ol' pundit on air) as well as politics and the lengths people will go to mess with an opponent's message. It wasn't a simple error, but a well-timed and targeted jab that disappeared as fast as it appeared.

ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. Poor Rush. His credibility ruined!
ReplyDeleteI laughed when I came across that he was the president of, basically, a flower club. Although it brings up a semi interesting point that wikipedia is not always correct, duh, it also shines light on Limbaugh's naiveté with the internet. If I were trying to find juicy details on someone and were then going to publicaly disclose it, I would maybe check my facts at more than one stop, especially if that one, is. Wikipedia
ReplyDeleteThe picture was great too.
