  1. I almost bought an I-Pad before I came out to school this year but i thought I would wait a year to make sure they are perfected. Even before I read this article I though I-Pad's were the future to magazines and newspapers. Of course wired magazine will have the most significant changes in sales but it will take time before other magazines feel an affect. The one problem for the future of I-pads and sales for books, newspapers, and magazines is a good portion of our eceonomy cannot afford the I-pad but can afford a simple 50cent magazine. Time will tell, but the I-pad is not going anywhere

  2. I think that iPads and other ereader devices definitely are the future of books, magazines, and newspapers. Online newspapers have already been gaining so much popularity in this decade. I read online news instead of watching it on tv or reading a hardcopy newspaper. I think the fact the iPad might still need time to be perfected doesn't mean Conde Nast is going in the wrong direction. 60% of magazines will still be for the consumers who can't afford higher technology. The other 40% is for people who are adopting this technology as price decreases.
