Internet Monitoring in Greece
As of 2009, Greece which has been known for their freedom of speech and right to assembly. Has done away with privacy on the internet. According to this article . The Greek police force can retrieve a significant amount of data on any website that they deem criminal. This means that there is no true form of anonymity in Greece. To take things a step further, the greek police can access this data without the permission of the Communications Privacy Assurance Authority(ADAE). Before this time, the ADAE reviewed whether or not a post would be criminal and give the police authorization or not. Although there is significant transparency, there is no known form of constitutional censorship of Greece's internet.
