Music Bloggers
Today, it seems there is a great amount of music blogging going on. From staying on top of famous artists on the road to keeping up on smaller, local bands. Even since I have been in college, a couple of my friends have started blogs so they can share all the cool and new music they find on the internet. Its an easy was to share common interests. A blog really isn't even needed due to face book, which acts the same, passing information on to many eyes and ears. My personal favorite non blog is Pretty Lights, a local CO artist who puts his music up to be downloaded free. The internet is full of treasures.

I see your point that facebook often is used more than blogging, but I also think that blogging filters the information more. Facebook is becoming so cluttered with random information that it is nice to actually view specified information on different blogs.
ReplyDeleteI do think it is smart of artists to sample their music on the blogs because it only works to network them self much faster. I have seen this done in a different way as well. There are camp guest musicians that play all weekend for hundreds of high schoolers and then sell their cd in the store that is at the camp. This helps network them soo fast because all of these kids go home and post info about the musicians on their facebooks. It reaches such a vast audience in such a quick forum.
